Mapping

Mapping is understood here to be a practice of visually communicating geographical knowledge and sharing geographical imaginations of what is where, how it is where it is and why.

Between 2006-2014, I immersed myself in this field of mapping, completing many cartographic projects.  My portfolio includes a 364-map atlas for the American Medical Association; a 40-page paddling route map for the Housatonic River in western Massachusetts and Connecticut; dozens of maps for scholarly publications; and hundreds of data visualizations for a range of multimedia presentations.

I continue to work with mapping as part of a broader visual storytelling toolkit.
